SUPPORT OUR VILLAGE
It has become our mission to create a community of historic cottages that will be protected and will never endure the fear of demolition.
We plan to acquire and relocate a number of bungalows that are at risk of being torn down to the new Sarasota Bungalow Village,
where they will be officially landmarked historic. This means they CAN NOT be destroyed.
Moving an entire cottage is no small undertaking. It requires specialized equipment, professional movers, site preparation, utilities, restoration, and countless hours of planning and work.
The cost of relocating a single building is around $80,000. At this time, we are planning to relocate five.
This is where we need our communities help.
We have set-up fundraising efforts for the village.
The funds raised will help accomplish the relocation of these cottages and
provide the necessary elements needed to build our village.
Whether you can give $10, $50, $100—or make a much larger contribution—every dollar brings us one step closer to seeing our vision for the Sarasota Bungalow Village become a reality.
Interested in making a larger contribution? Please consider sponsoring one of the following elements:
